Advanced Driver Assist Systems

• Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection: This system gives the driver audio and visual warnings when a pedestrian or other object is about to cross the vehicle’s path. It will automatically apply brakes in order to avoid a collision.

• Lane Departure Warning: Stay centered with audio and visual cues when you start to drift outside the lane. 

• Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (Optional): Available at higher trim levels, this system lets you know when another vehicle is approaching in your blind spot. It can also alert you when you’re backing out of a parking spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Rearview Camera

Get a view behind with the vehicle, standard on all Outlander Sport trims. The rearview camera shows on the 7 or 8-inch audio display centered on the dash.

Active Stability Control

Handling twists, turns, and slippery conditions is made simple with Active Stability Control, Mitsubishi’s traction control system. When one wheel starts to slip, the system makes use of the anti-lock brakes, traction control, and stability control together to regain control.

Automatic High Beam & Rain-Sensing Wipers

More smart features, like automatic high beams and rain-sensing wipers, take the guesswork out of quickly changing conditions. 

7-Airbag System

Seven airbags are strategically placed throughout the Outlander Sport’s cabin at the front, mounted on the front seat, side-curtain, and driver’s side dashboard.

RISE Body Construction

In the event of a collision, the Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body construction helps to divert energy away from the driver and passengers.
